FREE Fun outdoor sessions    for adults.

Join us for a month of Mondays, from 10am–12pm, at our Adult Care Farming Group, specially designed for adults with social, emotional and mental health needs, including neurodivergent individuals.

These sessions provide a supportive and welcoming space where participants can become part of a working farm community. Together, you’ll help care for the farm for the morning, build friendships, and take part in a wide range of hands-on, meaningful activities, such as:

Feeding and caring for our animals

General animal husbandry

Mucking out shelters and stables

Sowing seeds

Planting, and harvesting

Preparing and distributing animal feed

Who it's for:

These group sessions are ideal for individuals with a degree of independence and no mobility challenges, as the farm is located on hilly terrain. You’re also welcome to attend with your own support worker if needed.

Important Details:

Crowdfunding Thanks

These sessions are made possible thanks to the generous support of Crowdfund Kent, with funding from Kent County Council, NHS Kent & Medway, Folkestone Lions, the Cornwallis East Kent Freemasons Charity, and many kind individuals. Their contributions enable us to provide these valuable experiences at no cost to participants.

Who can apply for free sessions?

The aim of our project is to enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities, special educational needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, including depression, anxiety and PTSD. Through meaningful, hands-on activities in a safe, natural setting, participants can learn new skills, build confidence, and develop social connections.

Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature has proven benefits for both mental and physical wellbeing, including reduced anxiety and depression, lower stress levels and blood pressure, and improved mood. Nature helps us feel calmer, happier, and more positive overall.

If you meet the criteria above, please complete our registration of interest form here. We ask that you provide as much information as possible about your needs, so we can ensure sessions are supportive and that participants are grouped with like-minded individuals.

During periods of high demand, it may take a few months before we are able to offer you a place. When a place is offered, sessions may be limited to one month. This approach helps ensure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to benefit from time on the farm.

We also offer 1:1 sessions and qualifications.
