Sheep Experience

Meet our sheep & lamb, hand feed, pet and take one for a walk.

Pre- booking essential

You would be Baa-kin mad not   to book a sheep experience.

We have a variety of sheep breeds on the farm, many of which are pets who love a good pampering. Join us for a 1-hour experience where you'll meet our sheep, including lambs (depending on the time of year), help prepare their food, and hand-feed them. After spending some time petting them, you’ll then head off for a walk around the farm with your very own sheep or lamb.

Our sheep love a selfie, and Del & Rodney, our mischievous Ryeland pets, are always eager to photobomb! We’d love to see your photos, so don’t forget to tag us on your social media channels.

As you stroll around the farm, you’ll have the chance to spot many of our other animals as you pass by their paddocks. It’s a great way to get a sneak peek at the rest of the farm while enjoying your time with the sheep!

We have around 60 to 100 sheep on the farm, with numbers varying throughout the year. Our flock includes a variety of breeds such as Llyens, Suffolks, Shetlands, Kerry Hill, Jacob, Dutch Spotted, Zwarble X, Southdown, Ryeland, Herdwicks, and Valais. It’s a lovely mix, with each breed bringing its own unique charm to the farm!

Should you wish to hand feed and meet all of our other animal  then you could consider booking our V.I.P Experience.

Can children walk their own sheep?

Children aged 3 years and over are welcome to join the experience, but to ensure the safety of both our sheep and visitors, all children under the age of 8 will need to share a sheep with a paying adult.

Children aged 3 years and over are welcome to join the experience, but to ensure the safety of both our sheep and visitors, all children under the age of 8 will need to share a sheep with a paying adult.

How long and how far will we walk?

The walk will take approximately 30 minutes as you meander around the perimeter of our 26-acre farm. Our sheep love to nibble on trees, shrubs, and brambles, so there will be plenty of stops along the way. The walk is just as exciting for the sheep as it is for you!

Can I / my child choose which sheep we walk?

We have sheep of various sizes and personalities, so we’ll guide you in choosing the right one for your walk. Typically, children will walk the smaller, younger sheep, while adults will take the larger ones. If we have multiple walking sessions booked on the same day, we’ll ask that you choose from the sheep who haven’t been walked yet.         .
