Goat Experience

Spend time with our Boer & Pygmy Goats and take them for a walk.

Pre - booking essential

The cutest   animals on the farm.

Our Pygmy and Boer goats are such fun-loving animals, each with their own unique personality. Join us for a 1-hour experience to meet all our goats, including the adorable kids (born in March and April). You’ll help us prepare their food, hand-feed them, and spend time petting them before heading off for a walk around the farm with your very own goat. It’s a wonderful way to connect with our friendly goats and enjoy the beauty of the farm!

Our goats absolutely love a selfie, and Nancy the Boer goat is always eager to climb up and get in on the action! We’d love to see your photos, so please do tag us on your social media channels. It’s always a joy to see the fun moments you’ve captured with our friendly goats!

During your walk around the farm, you’ll have the chance to see many of our other animals as you pass by their paddocks. It’s a lovely way to explore the farm, and you might even spot some of our curious animals stopping by to say hello!

We have 10 Pygmy goats, including 4 kids, with more kids due in March 2025. Our herd also includes 6 Boer goats, 1 kid, and more kids expected in March 2025, as well as a British Alpine goat. Additionally, we have a number of sheep that have a goat-like appearance, adding to the charm and character of our farm!

If you’d like the opportunity to hand-feed and meet all of our other animals, we recommend booking our VIP Experience. This gives you an up-close, hands-on experience with a variety of animals, allowing you to interact with them in a more personal way. It’s a fantastic option for anyone looking to enjoy the farm in a more exclusive and immersive manner!

Can children walk their own goat?

Children aged 3 years and older are welcome to attend the experience. However, to ensure the safety of both our goats and visitors, all children under the age of 8 will need to share a goat with a paying adult. This ensures that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time with the animals.

Our walking route can be uneven at times, includes hills, and can be slippery in places when it has rained, so please make sure to wear appropriate closed-toe footwear. Small children should be steady enough on their feet to walk across this terrain without needing to hold an adult's hand to take part in the walk. This ensures everyone’s safety and enjoyment during the experience!

How long and how far will we walk?

The walk will take approximately 30 minutes, and you’ll stroll around the perimeter of our 26-acre farm. The goats love to nibble on trees, shrubs, and brambles, so there will be plenty of frequent stops along the way. It’s just as exciting for the goats as it is for you, as they enjoy exploring their surroundings and having a good munch!

Goats do not like rain.

Goats do not have a waterproof fleece, so at the first drop of rain, they run into their shelters. If it’s raining on the day of your visit, we may bring some of the goats into the barn, and the walking experience will be replaced with brushing instead. This ensures both you and the goats stay comfortable and safe while still having a fun, interactive experience!

Can I / my child choose which goat we walk?

We have goats of different sizes and temperaments, and we will guide you in choosing which ones children can walk. Typically, children will take the smaller, younger goats, while adults will take the larger ones. If we have more than one goat walking session booked on the same day, we will ask that you choose from the goats who have not already been walked, ensuring that all of our goats get a fair amount of attention and exercise! .

Who is the visit    Suitable for?

This experience is suited to children aged 3 years and older. However, as mentioned earlier, children under the age of 8 will need an adult to walk the goat with them.

Our land is on hills, and the paddocks can get muddy in wet weather, so unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate wheelchairs or pushchairs. If you wish to visit with a wheelchair, please email us, and we may be able to arrange for some animals to be brought to the barn or yard area, which is more accessible. We’ll do our best to ensure you still have a wonderful experience!
