Exclusive Lambing    & Kid Goat Visit.

Join us in Spring 2025 for a lambing experience with a difference.

Our lambing/kidding experience is a more personal and intimate experience compared to larger commercial farms. Your group or family will have exclusive time with the pregnant ewes, lambs, pregnant goats, and kids in the barn and poly tunnel. There will be no other groups in these areas at the same time, giving you plenty of time to cuddle the lambs and kids, take photos, and enjoy a peaceful, one-on-one experience with the animals. It's the perfect way to connect with our farm’s newest arrivals in a relaxed setting!

Sessions are 60 minutes long, and this year, we are also offering a Spring baby animal visit that lasts 90 minutes. The timing of the visits ensures that you’ll have exclusive access to the barn without sharing it with other groups, though you may see other visitors around the farm at the same time. This gives you a great opportunity to enjoy quality time with the animals

What age group is this suitable for?

Our lambing/kidding visits are suitable for children aged 3 years and older, as well as adults. Since our baby animals are delicate, we ask that adults hold the lambs and kids for younger children, allowing the children to stroke the animals on the adult’s lap. For the safety of both the unborn baby and the expectant mother, we do not permit pregnant ladies on the farm during lambing time. This is to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing during this busy time on the farm.

Will we get to bottle feed a lamb?

We understand that bottle feeding a lamb is a fun and memorable experience, but we prioritise the lambs feeding from their mums as this provides them with the best start in life. In 2025, we anticipate having around 60 ewes lambing, and while the likelihood of bottle feeding is small, there is a possibility that we may have one or two lambs in need of a bottle. If any bottle-fed lambs are available during your visit, guests will have the chance to assist during their feed time. However, please note that there is no guarantee of bottle feeding.

What animals will we see on this visit ?

During your visit, you'll have the chance to see our pregnant ewes, those who have recently given birth, as well as our lambs, Boer and Pygmy goat nannies, and their kids. We have a variety of sheep breeds, including Dutch Spotted, Jacob, Suffolk, Llyen, Shetland, Zwarble, Romney, Valais, Southdown, and Herdwick lambs. We anticipate lambing will begin around the 3rd of March and continue through to late April.

Can we stay on the farm afterwards?

Sorry, this isn't possible as these are exclusive group visits. Other guests will be booked in after your session

Will we get to see any other animals?

You may see a couple on your walk from the barn to polytunnels but you will not be able to see all of the animals. We do offer other experiences through the year which include meeting and feeding all our animals.

Who is the visit    Suitable for?

This experience is suited to children aged 3 years to adults.

Our land is on hills, and some areas can get muddy in wet weather, so unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate wheelchairs or pushchairs in our fields. However, for this visit, it is a little more accessible. The barn area, lambing polytunnel, and track to the polytunnel are passable. Please email us once you’ve booked, so we can make sure we adapt the access into the barn and polytunnel for wheelchairs on the day of your visit.
